Interspecies Gifting

Introducing a tangible offering for the sentimental folk; lovers of the handmade, plant-dyed and animal-infused. ‘Interspecies Gifting’ is designed to satiate cravings for and cultivate deeper connection with flora + fauna. A box of animal affinity dreamt up alongside wonderful collaborators and sourced oh-so-thoughtfully.

‘Interspecies Gifting’ is a gift to both you and your companion animal(s), yet also includes inspired connection with the plant, animal, mineral kingdoms and beyond. It is the first tactile thing I have assembled for Fauna Speak in a very long while. The animals have been sharing so frequently about the potency of making certain connections material. It has been exciting following that theme on the journey of assembling this box.

The box’s contents include ways to archive and admire the animal love in our lives, maybe even distinct from anything we’ve ever experienced. This process can be particularly supportive on the infinite journey of cinching threads of connection between ourselves and animal companion(s), or garnering general trust in our intuitive perception and animal senses.

Some aspects of this box are meant to be a surprise upon opening, some will be shared with you here, others only hinted. The contents of the ‘Interspecies Gifting’ box inspire: animal connection, animal communication, beauty, ritual connection to our interspecies world, animal archiving and deeper acknowledgement of each other’s stories including how we derive direction or meaning from them, as well as symbiotic and sustainable sourcing. You do not have to have an animal companion currently to purchase this box, but it is designed for that kind of connection.

This project is inherently collaborative, not only with incredible human creators but the animals themselves. The initial idea for this venture was even inspired within a session with two of my earliest clients-turned-friends + collaborators: Jessica Rachel and her cat, Arbor. Arbor so sweetly mentioned he wished he could give Jessica a gift. She brought that seed from our chat back to me a while later, suggesting we should do something with Arbor’s inspiration. And it evolved into this box of animal connection that still continues to reveal to us what it wants to be. Dreamt up between LA and Vancouver; in canyons, on islands, across borders.

This is currently a limited release project of 20 boxes, featuring gifts for you, your animal(s) and designed to accentuate the connection you share. Please let us know if you have a multi-animal household as this box will be as personalized as possible. It is mainly designed for one animal, but contents can be expanded, replicated and shared to accommodate a multi-animal family. It can be a gift to yourself and your own animal(s), and/or for a friend/family member to be delivered just in time for the season of giving.

Each element was meticulously curated and its contents entirely collected with reverent joy. We have tried to think of every sweet detail, and encourage you to experience this box.
